As the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) begins to have an increased impact on our communities, we feel it’s important to connect directly with you to share more about the steps Contemporary Management Concepts, LLLP is taking across all of our properties to help keep our residents, employees and our communities safe and healthy.

Our hearts go out to those who have been affected. The health and safety of our residents and employees is CMC’s number one priority. This is a rapidly evolving situation that we will continue to monitor. As things change, we will update you as needed. For the most up to date information please visit CMCApt.com/Blog.

Our leasing offices and amenities are cleaned and sanitized daily as part of our normal course of business. We will be increasing our efforts by cleaning these areas more frequently. In order to assist us in keeping our clubhouses, leasing offices, and amenities sanitized, we request residents follow these guidelines.

Janitor Cleaning

  • Please do not enter our Clubhouses, Leasing Offices, Laundry Facilities, Package Rooms, or Fitness Centers if you have any of these symptoms:
    • Fever
    • Cough
    • Difficulty Breathing
    • Gastrointestinal Issues
    • Diarrhea
    • Body Aches
    • Sore Throat
    • Headache
  • Please follow these recommendations to prevent the spread of respiratory viruses:
    • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water and not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
    • Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
    • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
    • Stay home when you are sick.
    • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
    • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

CMC Online

  • We request all residents pay their monthly installment using their property’s online payment portal, request work orders through your property’s online portal, and communicate with our staff via phone or text message if you need assistance. All emergency work orders should be called into our onsite leasing offices or after-hours Emergency Service: (352) 505-6966 or (800) 919-9888.
  • If you have flu-like symptoms and have a work order request in our system, please contact your leasing office to reschedule any non-emergency work orders until you have gone 24-hours with no flu-like symptoms. This is important to keep our staff safe and healthy. All emergency work orders will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.
  • Communication is important during these situations. If you have flu-like symptoms or have tested positive for the coronavirus, please advise our leasing staff so we can accommodate your needs and respond to emergency work order requests.
  • If you have flu-like symptoms, please contact our leasing offices to coordinate package deliveries.

Handwashing

Washing your hands for at least 20 seconds is the best defense against contracting the virus.

  • Please be assured, if any of CMC’s employees or vendors are experiencing flu-like symptoms or have tested positive for the coronavirus, they will not be permitted to enter your apartment. We will find an alternate staff member to address your needs or hire a third-party vendor.
  • If you have traveled outside of the US within the last two weeks — especially to China, South Korea, Japan, Iran or Italy — and are exhibiting signs of fever or cough, or have difficulty breathing contact your local Health Department immediately or dial 911 in case of an emergency. Florida residents who have traveled to these areas should refrain from using amenities on properties for at least 14 days.

CMC is also ensuring our employees have the information they need. We are encouraging employees to stay home if they aren’t feeling well. All of these practices and our business decisions are informed by guidance from the CDC along with guidance from local government and public health agencies.

As always, our hope is to make it easy for our residents to go about their normal activities and routines as we work together to keep our communities healthy and safe.
