Review: Zuzu

On Friday we hit the town and checked out Gainesville's newest fine dining restaurant - Zuzu.

Zuzu has a great dining space and even nicer bar and lounge area further back (tell Eric at the bar we said hello!) so you can have dinner and drinks or Friday Night Cocktails with friends.

(On Thursdays Fridays & Saturdays the restaurant is open until 2 a.m.)

The sleek interior balances the sharp statements of flavor in their food. For all you salt and savory lovers out there this might be your newest hang-out.

Between our group of four and attending their ribbon-cutting ceremony a few days prior we've managed an "unofficial" sampling of their menu with items from each category.

If you're a salt lover these are our best recommendations for a complete meal:

Savory more your thing?

Split the Pistachio Crusted Goat Cheese (seen above) with your table choose from a list of pasta and risotto options and be sure to ask for a dessert menu and give their Pumpkin Cheesecake on a granola crust a whirl.

Check out Zuzu at 12 West University Avenue or add them to your foursquare to-do list

We'd love to hear your thoughts. Has anyone tried the Illegal Bread yet?
