Hi my name is Lauren Buffington. I am a senior at the University of Florida. This summer I will be graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations. I was born in Ocala but have called Tampa my home away from home for the past 10 years. Go Tampa Bay Lightning.
The biggest thing I’ve done in Gainesville was serving the Gator Nation as an assistant director of public relations for Gator Growl 2009. I met so many fantastic people and got to see behind-the-scenes of what it took to produce the largest pep-rally in the world. Go Gators.
The last movie I just saw was Alice in Wonderland 3-D and I thought it was amazing. The animation and attention to detail that Tim Burton put into the movie was fantastic. Also I am a huge Johnny Depp fan so anything he is in I will watch.
My favorite Gainesville eateries are Ti Amo for a romantic night out Napolatano’s for some great Italian cuisine Satchels for the best pizza and dining experience and Pita Pit for the amazing Hummus Pita. However I spend a lot of my time in Gainesville searching for new restaurants that I haven’t tried. Gainesville has a great selection of every type of cuisine.

I predict Billionaire by Travie McCoy featuring Bruno Mars will be the hot track for Summer 2010. It’s just one of the feel good songs that you just want to blare before a night out on the town in Gainesville or on the way to the beach.
