How To Be Courteous When Using Community Amenities

One of the best perks of living in our Gainesville apartments is having access to dozens of convenient, on-site amenities. But, whether it’s the pool, gym, or lounge area, we expect all residents to adhere to a particular code of conduct to ensure everyone has a fair chance of enjoying everything their community has to offer. Be a good neighbor by respecting all community rules and being courteous when using common areas.

Follow these tips when visiting common areas and using community facilities to ensure you do your part in making the community a great place to live.

Clean After Yourself

There’s perhaps nothing more disheartening for residents than noticing litter when walking around their neighborhood. Not only is it unpleasant to look at, but the smell could attract undesirable critters as well. Be a good neighbor — spare yourself and your neighbors the trouble by disposing of every used napkin, plastic cup, and bottle in the nearest trash can. Notice someone else’s mess lying around? Don’t feel obliged to clean it up yourself. Call your community’s office and have them take care of it.

Respect The Pool’s Rules

Throwing a small get-together with your family and friends at the pool? Keep noise level to a reasonable level, clean up once finished, and double-check for any leftover trash. We understand that not everyone takes the time to read the pool’s rules board. But, make sure you do so, as your community may have different operating hours and requirements. Above all, never bring glass containers to the pool area as these could pose serious health hazards if broken. Finally, get permission from your community’s office for any large gatherings.

Take Turns At The Gym

Aside from swimming pools, fitness centers are perhaps the most popular community amenity among our residents. That means, depending on the time of day, you may have to share the gym with one or more residents. Make sure you allow everyone a fair chance to use the equipment. Take turns if necessary. Even if you don’t sweat profusely when exercising, wipe down the machines after using them. Lastly, try not to grunt or shout when weightlifting, which could make others uncomfortable.

There are many reasons to choose apartment living over homeownership, not the least of which is access to a wide range of community amenities. But, if you’re looking for Gainesville houses for rent with a similar bang for your buck, we also have you covered!
